Wellington

New Zealands Capital City sited at the bottom left hand corner of the North Island. Wellington stands in a picturesque harbour.

There exists a friendly rivalary being Auckland and Wellington, Auckland being the bigger city, and Wellington being the capital.

Wellington has a lot to offer, not least it is the capital city of New Zealand and provides a crossroads being North and South Island.

Some of the high lights of a visit to Wellington are

•Enjoying Wellington Harbour, whether Climbing Mt Victoria or walking the foreshore.

• Taking a trip to the Botantic gardens up the cable car.

•Spending time in Te Papa one of the best museums in New Zealand

• Visiting the vineyards of the Wairarapa region and exploring some of the rugged coastline of the region.

•Exploring the city, there is a lot to do in Wellington.

Affectionatly known as windy wellington, when you step off the ferry from the South island it's not hard to see why.

The ferry journey across the Cook Strait demonstrates how that stretch of water can be quite a stormy stretch of water. You can feel the moment that the ferry leaves Queen Charlotte sounds as the boat becomes a roller coaster for about 30mins before entering the calm of Wellington Harbour.

Crossing on the Interislander between the North and South Island is a pleasant affair. Although I do wish that I had taken a day time crossing as the scenery is supposed to be stunning.

The Harbour area is a nice place to explore.
